Feel horrible for those children. Their mother is an absolute celebrity wanna be, chasing attention in any manner possible. She has this grand illusion they are the perfect family and we can all learm so much from them, but she has sacrificed her family’s privacy for her own fame.

Feel horrible for the husband. I carried that same beaten down, judged, exhausted look for several years. It’s very difficult living with a narcissist.

Feel just awful for those kids.

I think that they are a dysfunctional family like the rest of us. I think Kate has been harshly judged, and she is portrayed as the bad guy while Jon has been the good guy. Now that he has been built onto a pedestal, their is no better drama that America likes better than to see someone fall off that pedestal disgraced. Jon didn’t deserve the hero worship, and he doesn’t deserve to be trashed either. I think Kate is under a whole lot of pressure. I think that they are doing the best they can. I hope they can work it out. If they can’t work it out, Dr. Phil always says its better to be from a broken home than in one.

I only have 2 kids and sometimes feel like ‘m going crazy. I’m sure they are stressed. With that being said they have TONS of help Nannies and I’m sure housekeeper/cleaners. They need to focus on there kids even if that means going off the air. One day there kids are going to google them and see all the nasty stuff.

I hate to see them going through this. My kids and I have been watching their show for a couple of years now, and we feel like we kinda know them. So, I hate being at the grocery store and having my kids seeing giant headlines that say ” JON AND KATE DIVORCE" or something like that. It really upset my little girl. So, I can’t even imagine how the Gosslin kids are feeling. Poor babies.

Yes, divorce happens and sometimes everyone is better off. But the kids will definitely suffer in this case. To me it seems like Jon is being a bit selfish. He only started acting out when Kate got a life outside the home. NOT because she is bossy or whatever. She has always been like that and he was just fine with it. No, he didn’t want to be stuck there with the kids all the time, so he went out and got himself a little girlfriend to prove that he could.

And now Kate is bitter and miserable. And they’ve got the whole world looking at them.

I just hate it for them. Mostly the kids and Kate. Jon is a big boy who screwed up. It’s not up to me to forgive him….. but I kinda hope Kate does for the kids sake.

That’s just how I feel about it.

I think Jon and Kate are doing the best they can.

They are poor by no means - they get everything paid for because of their show. And they had plenty of help when the kids were small, believe me.

This is a reality show we are talking about, and Jon and Kate don’t do the show for free.

Kate can be a little bit overbearing and controlling, and demeaning. If she were my neighbor, i’d be cordial, but she’s not the type of person i’d want to befriend.

Jon seems to like to spend time with the kids, as far as i can tell? And i saw on one episode when he said it was a mutual decision that kate stay home and care for the kids.

i’m not going to defend Jon because i wasn’t at the bar where he was supposed to have met another woman. i have no idea what he does in his spare time? Same goes for Kate…

Kate doesn’t have very good parents, and never sees them. So, i’m sure this has had an effect on her happiness from time to time. If you watch Kate, you will see she has trouble with every day intimacy when it comes to her husband. Notice she acts as if she doesn’t deserve to get a kiss or positive attention from Jon many times. It’s probably a result of her childhood.

everyone has issues.

I feel bad for the kids.
I don’t think Jon should have cheated, it was wrong.
But in a way it was Kates fault, she is kind of mean and rude to him all the time.

I never watched the show before but them being in the publicity made me curious. I saw a few episodes today during the marathon but I went to a cookout and missed the 9:00 episode that I wanted to see when Jon and Kate talked face to face.
I only watched a few episodes and I was able to see how controlling Kate is and how she has no respect for Jon and is always complaining about his weight and baldness.
Like someone said earlier they should have adopted after two, or at least stayed away from fertility drugs.
I am sorry I can’t really answer your question "How do I feel about them" because I don’t think I know them well enough to tell you how I feel about them.

I think its a shame that the paparazzi has to pry so much into peoples lives. They tend to blow things way out of proportion. I watched most of the beginning of season 5 tonight, and even Kate said they were for the most part, out of the tabloids. Jon said he only bought one tabloid in his life, the one with him in it, and it would be his last. Yes, the Gosselin’s wanted to be able to document their children’s lives, and they chose to do it in a way that was viewable by the public, and that was their choice, but for the sanctity of the relationship between Jon and Kate, and future of their family, the press should really back off.
I enjoy the show.
But one thing I have noticed is that Kate is very bossy. She bosses Jon and the kids around. If you notice, she rarely says, "please?"
They don’t seem like they have much romance either. In the beginning of the series, I would giggle when they were conversating on the loveseat in front of the camera, but now its just kind of sad. Neither one of them seems really happy.
I wonder why they decided to do a fifth season?

after viewing the season opener it sounds like she is choosing her career over her children. i have a career and children as well, but if my marriage and children were ever put at risk i would drop it all and focus on the family. and jon seems like that is what he wants to do. but kate wants to keep up the lifestyle. she can’t have the best of both worlds. it’s time for them to say goodbye to reality tv if they want to save their marriage. marriage first and children second. that’s the secret to any successful marriage and family life.

I think they are fantastic parents, kate especially! They look after their children really well and you can tell they really enjoy the size of their family.

Even though they are on a reality television show i don’t think we should be allowed to speculate about their lives. There has been a lot of questions about Jon and Kate in relation to their fidelity. I believe what they are saying to the press;eg they didn’t cheat it’s just a rumour". Until they say other wise i will continue to believe them.

They are starting to say they have had enough..
