What are the possibilities of having twins, if twins do not run in the family?
I’m 26 years old, and I am 5 weeks pregnant, and for some reason feel like I might be having twins. It’s not something I can explain, just a feeling. I already have 2 children, a 5 year old and a 2 and half year old girl. Just curious to know if anyone has had twins, without family history of it, and curious to know if there are any signs I can watch for. I’m pretty sure, I’m just going to have to be patient….
I’m not sure what the statistics are but chances are slim. Use ure search engine and put in something like "childbirth statistics"
and it will probably lead you to some sight that can answer your question. If your pregnant now, it doesn’t take long for a sonogram to tell.

Anyone can have identical twins. Fraternal ones are the ones that are passed down in families. You will start showing a lot sooner if you are having twins. How exciting!! God Bless

You may not always be able to tell if youre going to have twins, but there is always a chance of having twins without a family history of it. If you would like to know and prepared, then go to a doctor and have them check.

Not a high possiblity, but its possible. I’m a twin, but twins run in my family, I’m a twin, my grandma is a twin. And I think someone else was too.

I don’t know the answer to your question but I am curious on the answers. I just found out I am pregnant with my third child. But this pregnancy is so different from my other two. I am not exactly sure how far along I am just yet as I am waiting for my doctors appointment, but it just seems rougher. I am exhausted no matter what I do. I am sicker than I was my last two pregnancys. I am not throwing up, just nauseous ALL the time no matter what I do. It just FEELS different.
