. Some people really just want to be their own person and not known as a twin. Yes they do play with their twins more than their other siblings because older siblings might be ashamed of you (teenagers sometimes are like that) and younger children sometimes follow your every move and everything so I wouldn't really want to play with someone that follows me everywhere. You play with your twin because you're growing at the same pace as them and they were raised by the same parents so they are probably remotely alike. Having a brother close to your age is kind of like having a playmate all the time but your teachers always try to compare you and some people don't like that. When they're really young like 2 and 3 they usually either are really close and share everything with only each other or being mean to the other and taking their toys and hitting them.
It basically relies on your personality and how alike or different you and your brother are.
Hope I helped!
References :
I think it depends on the personalities of the twins. There were identical twin sisters in my sister's class at school and they hated each other. They never got along at all. I suppose that's not the case with all twins, but usually the closer in age siblings are, the less they get along and nobody is closer in age then twins ...
References :
My husband is a fraternal twin.

He said yeah, when they were kids they were great playmates and always had someone, but as they got older, they fought a lot and they both have such clashing personalities isn't wasn't good anymore. He wanted to be alone as they got older, but his twin was always around, of course.

I myself have a sister that's 16 years older than me and we have always gotten along (after the age of 3- I had terrible 3's). We never have fought and we can talk really easily with eachother.

With siblings close in age, it can lead to competitiveness and your not alone as much, and clashing personalities can lead to lots of fights.
References :
It could be
but if you got twin, the chance that you play with him is great
but remember even if he is your twin, but he could like other thing
for example if you like sport, but he hate them.
Twin is not people who are perfect replicate of each other
they does have their own difference
a brother is same thing as twin, except you don't normally share same birthday and possibly same face
