I have a friend, that was not able to conceive on her own, so she went through in vitro, and now has beautiful twin girls. The babies are around nine months old, and are not yet sitting on their own, so they are going to therapy a few days a week. I have two children (not twins) and I do have an idea of when an average full term single baby reaches certain milestones. My question is, on average how long did it take your children (twins, triplets, etc) to sit without support? I would guess not as a full term baby, because most twins are born before their do date.
I never imagined twins could go to full term, I learned something new :o)
I guess they are a litte behind then, hopefully therapy does it’s work.
Thanks for the answers, very helpful.
I have 4 year old twins and they were born 6 weeks early. They were sitting up on their own at about 6 months. Don’t know if you want it, but started crawling at 7 1/2 months and were both walking by 14 months.

Unlike her mother, Chelsea has come out of the closet to proclaim her commitment to socialism and supporting her parents claim to seize power.
The press has closely followed the instructions of the DNC and Clintons, to never taregt Chelsea’s politics. Seems like a double standard since Chelsea has been used as a prop for many years, for those who want to believe the Clinton’s marriage is not just "in name only" (gee, how many women would sleep with a serial adulterer, who needs to checked for STD’’s on a weekly basis).
Here comes Chelsea, diving head first into supporting big governement and declaring war on corporations….. will the media continue to give her a pass, as they have been doing?
Please don’t compare Chelsea to the Bush twins, the Bush twins are not political.

Always new she batted for the other team. I wonder if she’s the "Pitcher" or "Catcher"

I recently posted a question on if i should have children and due to the brilliant people who posted i decided to give it my best shot despite the the people who could harm my children in this world as there are so many dangers nowdays. Anyway i have adhd and went to check with the doctor the probablity that my children will have adhd and von willebrands disorder (type of hemophillia that women can suffer with ) that i also have. So he took blood samples from me and my fiance for relevent tests ect.
It turns out that i am already pregnant with TWINS (which also runs in my family)I really want children but its so sudden, i really don’t want to mess this up i can obviously give them the love and financial support i need but would appricate advise from parents of twins or children who were born quite close together. How did you handle it??
Of course i am very excited as is my fiance just don’t want to mess up and current parents advise mean more to me than any parenting book can.
Just to note it’s not the health problems i care about i would still love them but more the parenting advice
Don’t worry about messing up. The fact that you are concerned about it is ample evidence that you take this new stage in our life very seriously. If you do your best, you’ll be fine.
If there’s one piece of advice I’d give you,it’s "Go with your gut." A parent’s radar, especially a mother’s, is a very finely tuned instrument. If something seems wrong, it probably is.
You’ll learn as you go. All parents do. And you’ll make mistakes. All parents do that too. Learn from your mistakes, but then let them go. Beating yourself up about them doesn’t help anyone.
Don’t forget to take care of yourself. Be sure to get some down time away from the kids: by yourself, with your partner and with friends and family. It might feel like your neglecting your kids. But in fact, your kids will benefit as much as you by having a happier and less stressed mother.
Good Luck

Do identical twins like to trick people by switching places?
I’m an only child (guy), and I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be an identical twin. Please tell me what your relationship is like to your identical twin compared to your other brothers.
Please state whether you’re an identical twin, a parent of an identical twin, a sibling of an identical twin, or have intimate knowledge of a the twin’s family.
hi ! this is justin and jayson.were both 14 and have answered questions before. we do have 2 older sisters. before they moved away,we were close to them and could talk just about anything together. but their bond and probably everyone elses is completly different to a twins. the two of us are inseparable and are different beacuse most twins are somewhat different. we really like answering questions about twin relationships and would really like to stay in touch with you. please feel freee to email us anytime. emails are recieved as a text on our phones , so were available always. thank you hammieghvegas@yahoo.com

my mom is a twin. my grandmother had a set of twins (obviously).
and my aunt had a daughter who had twins. i don’t know any farther back then that because my mom’s side of the family isn’t very close. but anyways i was wondering if any of you would know what my chances of having twins is?
Hi! I’m the mother of identical twins so I hear these types of questions alot. I’ve also done a ton of reading on the subject. Here’s some facts:
1. Identical twins are from one egg that splits. It’s a random act of nature and not impacted by age, ethnicity, family history or fertility drugs. ALL pregnancies have a 1 in 250 chance of being identical twins.
2. Fraternal twins occur when the female produces two eggs and both are fertilized. Older women have an increased chance of twins, it’s more common in African Americans (less common in Asians and Hispanics), and women on fertility drugs are "at risk" for twins.
3. Family history is relevant only if the twins are fraternal twins. Researchers believe there is a "hyperzygocity" gene which causes females with this gene to produce more than one egg per cycle. That’s why "twins run in families". If the twins in your family are fraternal twins then there is an increased chance you will have twins.
4. There are alot of myths out there about twins. People think they skip generations because they don’t realize that an increased chance does not translate to guarantee! When you do decided to start trying to conceive be sure to discuss your family history with your doctor. He/she might want to do an early ultrasound to see if it’s twins.
Good luck!

I’m just curious on this…
I was always told I’d have a high chance on having twins because we have 6 sets on my moms side of the family and I think 3 on my dads side and my husbands grandfather is a twin.
I don’t know whether that increases chances or was just made up…
No I’m not trying to have twins yet alone a baby… Just wondering
*let alone
that many sets of twins on both sides of the family would definitely increase the chances of having twins

I have twins (5 mos.) and their father doesnt take care of them. He used to watch them while I work but whenever he got mad at me for saying he needs to get a job so he can help provide for them, he wouldnt show up to get them in the mornings. I had to constantly call in at my job because of this. The last straw was last week when he left a message saying i dont appreciate what he does for me. I was forced to find a sitter, and have now incurred a daycare charge weekly. He doesnt work, he lives with his parents (he’s 34), drives a car that they own, and has no cares in the world. His parents provide gas, and whatever else he needs. I filed for child support when the twins were 1 mo. because I knew he wouldnt take care of them. His sis and mother offered to pay for formula and diapers to get me from following through with child support. I never got anything from them. We go to court next week and I am nervous. I know they will make him get a job within 30 days. Has anyone gone through this?
I have also filed for custody. If he thinks I have something to do every other weekend, then to get back at me, he wont pick them up. Its been too much backand forth…I want any agreements as far as visitation to be documented with the courts.
Viv,
Not to be rude…but wakeup girlfriend!
You are being gamed. Continue with the current process. There are formulas the state uses to assess child support. No the State can not force a person to get a job, however they do assign a responsibility to pay a specific amount each month. It is up to your EX to pay it.
Will he pay in full each month…I doubt it.
You must take him back into Family Court each time he fails to pay in full and on time. You must file a Contempt of Court motion each time.
Forget about his family, they will pressure, threaten, and coerce you to not file against the Ex. Document each attempt and take that to the judge as well.
BTW..whether or not he pays child support, he stills has a legal right to visitation unless a judge rules otherwise.

If the identical twins are closer to each other than other siblings is it because they’re identical?
Is there sibling rivalry between identical twins?
Do the identical twins think of themselves as identical, or just as two siblings who happen to share the same birthday and the same face?
Please answer if you are an identical twin, a parent of an identical twin, or a sibling of identical twins.
Yes. In ways, they are closer to each other-ages, looks, thoughts…this helps to develop their feelings. They can rely on each other. In other ways, though, this could sprout problems, if they don’t want to be identical. If they want to be unique. But usually, yes, twins will be closer to each other than to other siblings.
