awwww, congrats. I can't imagine having twins. I have 2 that are 2 years apart and they're challenging at times. You will do fine, reading will help you calm your nerves. Read several different ones, as no one book is going to be perfect, in my opinion. I pick and choose what works best for my kids and my family. WARNING: all mothers 'mess up' at times and we just have to find ways to forgive ourselves. THose little hugs and kisses and smiles will help with that. God Bless.
References :
Don't worry about messing up. The fact that you are concerned about it is ample evidence that you take this new stage in our life very seriously. If you do your best, you'll be fine.

If there's one piece of advice I'd give you,it's "Go with your gut." A parent's radar, especially a mother's, is a very finely tuned instrument. If something seems wrong, it probably is.

You'll learn as you go. All parents do. And you'll make mistakes. All parents do that too. Learn from your mistakes, but then let them go. Beating yourself up about them doesn't help anyone.

Don't forget to take care of yourself. Be sure to get some down time away from the kids: by yourself, with your partner and with friends and family. It might feel like your neglecting your kids. But in fact, your kids will benefit as much as you by having a happier and less stressed mother.

Good Luck
References :
well, since these will be your first kids, you won't have anything to compare it to, will you? So it will be just as hard (AND just as easy as someone having their first singleton. It is scary the first pregnancy, but once the kid(s) are home, you just kind of have to figure it out...I agree a schedule really helps, but some babies WON'T abide by a schedule, so the best laid plans, and all.....just have faith that your children (as all do) will think your the BEST mommy in the world (because THEY don't have anything to compare it to either!!hahaha)... And always remeber that if you need help, ask for it...people will be dying to jump in and save you! best of luck and try not to worry.
References :
Try talking to your mom or your mother-in-law. This is a great subject to bring you guys even closer together. But my advice to you is..

When I first got pregnant, I was so excited. And throughout my pregnancy, I was scared, then excited, the pissed, then scared again because I knew what a terrible world this was.. and I still do worry about it. Any good mother does worry about this. And kids with ADHD are usually funny and have better personalities. I have many friends with ADD and ADHD and I love them to death. Just pray for the healthiest babies and good luck to you. Your going to do wonderful, I can already tell.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
References :
just as you learn to be a mother for the first time, you learn to be a mother to twins. It will take time to get used to, but soon you'll figure out what works for you. I suggest a good routine.
References :
Aww, congrats on the twins! I'm sorry to hear of the risks, but having children will be a great joy. I'll pray for your unborn babies that God would shield them from those things.

Even if they are born with one or both of those things, you will love them as soon as you hold them and that won't change. :)
