My mum is a twin and my dad is a twin, what is the likelihood of me having twins?
Neither set are identical, in fact my mum and her sister and my dad and his brother could not be any more different.
My brother has a child and it was a singleton, what are his chances of producing twins?
Your chances are higher than your brother’s because to produce fraternal twins you need two eggs. There’s no way for a man to have any effect on how his partner ovulates so the fact that your parents are twins mean nothing as far as he is concerned. Since you’re a woman, your ovulation patterns would be more likely to produce twins because you could have inherited the gene from either your mother or your father.

the twins are only for the girls since it depends on the number of eggs released and has nothing to do with sperm. Since the gene runs on both sides of your family you have a slightly higher chance of having twins but for your bro no more of a chance for him. If he has a girl she has a slightly higher risk since it runs in his family.

well, having twins for the average population is about 1 in 100, so i think that u r not an average in your situation and are at least 50% more likely to have twins than the average person. especially if you aren’t a twin yourself. your the generation it skipped, so u or your offspring seem quite likely.
