JUST FOR FUN: If you found out today that you were having twins [a boy and a girl] what names would you choose for them? Would you pick names that rhymed and sounded similar or would you choose two completely different names?

I’d pick different names. Twins don’t need help to celebrate their one-ness or their connectivity: they just have it. But they may need a little help to affirm a sense of self, and matchy-matchy names can hinder that.

an only child, my parents are still married. We have no family in our town, still live in the same town. I am very good friends to someone I have known since childhood. We see each other as brothers and call each other brotha. We are dating twin sisters, we both live with them. My family begged me not to move out, my father especially. Not just because I was "shacking up" but whoever I lived with he couldn’t justify me spending money on my own place when I could be helping to support him and their place. I didn’t have much freedom at home, sometimes I was so uncomfortable that I didn’t even want to use the toilet in the middle of the night so I would pee in a bottle for fear of waking them up. They never closed their door at night and it was a little apartment. They never call me and when we talk or see eachother they make me feel guilty. Now the holidays are here and my gf’s family is really inviting with my brotha (childhood friend) but I feel guilty.. any suggestions for me

If you are 22, your parents must be reasonably young, not candidates for an old folks home at all. It’s up to them to make a life for themselves, not you. Don’t allow them to emotionally cripple you with their demanding personalities.

By all means spend Christmas with your girl friend and family. Visit your parents, of course, and make a fuss over them … then leave.

Parents that manipulate their adult children are selfish. As a mom, I’m advising you to do what makes you happy. Ditch the guilt. It’s unproductive.

Is it possible to have more than one fetuses implanted in the uterus by using fertility treatment? Just if you want to have multiples? I want to have more children but I have had REALLY rough pregnancies. I was just wondering.

fertility treatments DO increase the odds, but it is never for certain if the multiples will actually take.

Consider that if you already have rough pregnancies, a multiple pregnancy is multiple times as hard. Do you really want to go through that and risk even more complications?

I don’t think it is a risk you should take on purpose.

Help a woman?
I am an individual woman wanting to promote women upliftment with around 20+ schools in support with an average strength of 3000 students each and their parents as support to empower in twin cities-Hyderabad/Secunderabad , Andhra Pradesh ,India.

The aim of this project is to empower women to earn a monthly fixed income + an asset simultaneously irrespective of their Nil educational qualifications.

My project targets women of Andhra Pradesh (India) to start with and will slowly cover women nation wide.

Indian Women do require much more help then all efforts put together.
In spite of the jet age, Indian women suffer from education, dowry harassments, sati (some areas), prostitution, etc…

And due to no qualifications they are trained to be maid servants or work on low income salaries forcing them to think, this is what they are fit for they cannot live up even for themselves. Women are weak is drilled into their heads.

Parents don’t want a girl child as they have to pay high dowry to get them married. A village boy too needs a minimum of rupees 1 lakh of dowry.

Rate of abortions increase, rate of girl child exploitation increases. Swapping children on their birth increase for a mere bribe.

DM Woman Power Project (DM WPP) guarantees:

1.A minimum income of Rs. 50,000 p.a. to even an uneducated woman
2.Plus an asset
3.Self employment-business at their convenience
4.A family income hike from Rs.5, 000(approx). to a minimum addition up to Rs. 50,000 p.a.

DM WOMAN POWER PROJECT

Woman a common issue in Indian society is strongly taken up by DM Woman Power Project by Mrs. Dipali Mehta a business entrepreneur who realizes the importance of woman in a society.

DMWPP invites all women in distress with society whether widow, divorcees, orphans, under privileged, etc… to earn a respectable living in the society.
This project encourages woman to work on respectable and business at convenient time basis not hindering their daily chores or commitments simultaneously. This project not only helps them earn a reasonable monthly income but also earns them an asset (an auto rickshaw).

DM WPP has support of schools and parents supporting this project.
Auto rickshaws are a common mode of public transport as well as for school children.
We will encourage the woman to ride school going children to schools and back home safely in auto rickshaws driven by themselves.

Woman is the best and more reliable source for school going children especially the girl child believed by schools, parents and even children.

All women auto drivers will have their names and autos registered under this scheme along with areas allotted as to ensure security for school children.

CD’s will be provided to schools supporting the women auto drivers within one month of school reopen.

Safety measures will be taken as to train them into:

1. Auto driving ( by Professionals)
2. Road safety and rules
3. Basic mechanisms
4. Local language and National language skills
5. Self defense
6. First Aid
7. Mobile Communications

Project Success time - The women Auto rickshaws should be on roads by June

Project Progress:

1.Permits are banned for new auto rickshaws for which I have managed to release a leniancy G.O. of 600 auto rickshaws within Andhra Pradesh to start with only for the lady members under DM WPP.

I have been requesting the Chief Minister ,the Minister of woman and child Welfare and the Transport Commisioner of Andhra Pradesh to allow temporary permits to women to drive auto rickshaws as it can reduce home violence, trafficking, dowry issues, etc…or other leniencies to get a commercial licence for the women auto drivers

Results-?.

APWCFC has also backed out after a month of promise to train this women .

I appreciate the project to be a successful one. Any problem starts with the lack of knowledge.

So this proejct starts with imparting knowledge which will definelty become successful.

When coming to the support i suggest not to ask for leniencey since i feel men and women are both equal.
