Could you be more ignorant on this subject?

#1. Celebs didn't start this so called "trend".
#2.How many of these babies do you actually know? probably none. You are probably getting your info from some gossip site.
#3.Not all or even many of these kids are sick. You are once again, minsinformed.
#4. It's not child abuse for the same fact that a 20 year old getting pregnant is not child abuse.ANYTIME you have a kid, there IS a risk of your child having an abnormality whether you are young or old..healthy or sick.
#5. Not everyone is cut out to adopt. When you adopt, you welcome a set of challenges into your life.Foster kids take a lot of energy because they have past issues with their lives.
References :
In actuality, most of those children are NOT sick they are perfectly healthy. Yes, the risk of complications and defects goes up after age thirty-five but there's still a higher chance of a healthy baby than an unhealthy one. There are parents who are in their twenties who have children with Down Syndrome and heart problems and other disabilites... are they selfish because they couldn't tell the future? No, and neither are parents who need help conceiving. Sure there are lots of children who need homes but the facts are that adoptions are unstable and difficult and usually much more expensive than fertility treatments. Many countries have strict limitations on the type of person who is allowed to adopt from that area... China comes to mind, who until recent years refused adoption to parents younger than thirty-five... you will still have a parent of the same age and it's very likely they will adopt a child with health problems, same situation.
References :
I think it is very easy to judge someone when you don't understand their position. You know what you would do but that doesn't make it the best choice for everyone. Women discuss these decisions with their doctors, husbands, families and themselves before taking a big risk - yes it's a risk but for them it is worth it. I'm still young and I wouldn't choose to have a child late in life but I'm not going to sit around writing a 3 paragraph discussion on how wrong they are for not doing what I do. Birth defects, miscarriage, and pregnancy complications happen at any age and a woman who wants her own child and pays 12 grand for IVF should be allowed to make that choice.
References :
I'm not sure I'm getting your point but I'll try to answer.

I'm 24 and mostly healthy, I'll admit I've had my share of health complications but none have effected this pregnancy [except pre-eclampsia which any pregnant woman can get] and I was asked if I wanted a down syndrome test. I had the option of finding out whether my baby would have problems or not, but the test isn't done until you're around 20 weeks.. by then the baby is already moving and in 4 weeks can live outside the womb. Was I going to terminate my pregnancy because I found out my baby had a chance of being not 100% healthy? No because that would have been wrong of me to take my baby's life because of a health condition. It's not child abuse either giving a person a chance at life.
References :
The fact of the matter is that people are selfish. They simply don't give a damn about the young life that they are bringing into the world and i bet the celebrities have minders to watch their children most of the time and just use them as fashion accessories when out and about and when the press are near.
The best way to get your opinions heard is to start an awareness campaign, get signatures from friends and neighbours and send them off to government so hopefully a new legislation will be put in place to stop this kind of thing.
Your not the only one who feels so strongly, i feel disgusted by it too!!
