One day I was informed by my hygienist that I needed a Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) treatment. Since that fateful day when I declined treatment and looked for my own solution, I have written a book and have learned a great deal about stopping the progression of gum disease and preventing it from coming back.

I am from a family of 4 (parents + my brother and I) and my husband is from a family of 6 (parents, husband + 3 sisters). My brother has 2 kids, a boy and a girl. We had our boy and a girl and everyone thought that we would be done. Then we went for our third. Three years later we unexpectedly became pregnant with twins and this is just incomprehensible to our families. They don’t understand why we would want 5 kids, and although we didn’t exactly plan it, we don’t see anything wrong with it. We have the money, the jobs, and the love to support a family of 7.
I was wondering if anyone else can relate.

I can certainly relate, and it’s no one else’s business how many kids you and your husband have together. They don’t have to "understand" it if they don’t pay your bills!

So I found out last week that my girlfriend is pregnant. She is 15 weeks and is pregnant with twins. Last night we went to the ER because she was having terrible cramps and was bleeding. Everything turned out to be perfect. Both babies are doing good and she is doing better with taking care of herself. Now that everything is going good for her, it seems like everything is going wrong with me. Ever since I found out we are pregnant with twins it seems like rock bottom hit. I am so nervous about having TWO babies! I know it is hard raising one baby but now two babies. I told my mother yesterday when both her and I went over for dinner and she was so happy. I then called her this morning and she was even more happy. She then started telling me… "oh, you better start saving money" "take labor classes" "this is going to cost alot" "are you sure the babies are yours?" I mean what kind of mother is suddenly not happy after finding out the baby is actually twins?! She is making me feel even worse. I can’t stop thinking about how I am going to cope with two babies, a girlfriend, debt, and maybe even 2 jobs. I know how my girlfriend feels and I am 100% in the picture but I think I am getting cold feet about this. Can someone help me and give me some reasurance?

Firstly, Congratulations, you’re obviously a stand up guy and your girlfriends a lucky girl! Secondly, ignore your mother, she’s opening her mouth without really thinking first, she means well but probably doesn’t realise she’s scaring you.

Everyone gets a little overwhelmed when they first know they’re gonna be a parent, it’s a big life change. I’m on baby number 3 and it’s still a little scary lol. But from experience I do know that you’ve gotta chillout a little. I’ve raised my kids on a budget, we’re a low income family and kids don’t need the best of everything, that’s just what you want to give them. What kids need more then anything is love and I think you’ve got plenty of that.

Yes, it’s gonna be hard work having 2 babies at once, the trick is to get them into a routine as soon as possible. My children are 17 months apart and I’ve always said it would’ve been easier having twins because at least they would’ve needed the same things at the same time, instead of having a new born baby and a toddler running round

We are in the process of adopting a sibling group of 5 children. Plus, we have one bio-daughter already. So our house as you can imagine is BUSY and sometimes chaotic. Our oldest son is 6, the rest of them go all the way down to 1 (no twins). We’ve had them for almost a year already, but we are trying to find a parenting class or support group of how to manage a large sibling group so the house looks a little more calm and less chaotic. I’ve read many parenting books and adoption books, but any suggestions on how to handle a large family would be greatly appreciated.

We need more of a class/ seminar/workshop help than personal advice. Kids are all very attached and already consider our family their own family.

I have 5 biological children, and I have managed to hold down the fort as a married sahm. Its hard, but it can be done, and it can be done with very little chaos if you organize and keep yourself calm. I don’t have too many suggestions that I can actually list, but I manage to feed us on less than $200 bucks every 2 weeks, and I manage to keep everyone alive, healthy, and mostly happy. If you had any specific questions, I could answer those. I am not a stuffy soccer mom, but I manage to be a pretty rockin’ mom.

ETA: I have yet to find a book or any organized advice (seminar, etc…) that covers practical applyable advice that was managable for my family.

Is he an Identical twin? If he is then you have the same chances as everyone else in the world. If he is a fraternal twin then you may have an increased possibility of having fraternal twins. Also if you are older that would increase your chances of fraternal twins

Also, fraternal twins don’t just run in the woman, it’s just they are the only ones that have the increase risk, as a man can pass that to his daughter.

Unlawful request by state of IL to have Non Custodial Parent pay child support while under social security disability in WI, has 2 dependent twins in another relationship in WI under paternity and while under poverty level financially. Is this lawful? The children were stolen from the father when the children were 3 years of age. Is this a case of abduction? The son age 16 has a severe stuttering problem that seems like a course of mental health behavior problems overlooked by the state of IL child support human services dept., in which this is an infringement between emotional/mental behavior in the custodial household. Is this abuse; emotional, mental?

If the request by Illinois should be challenged, then challenge it. Consult your attorney and fight back.

Or, if it is not that important, avoid speaking with your lawyer. Just get sympathy in an online community.

I have met rob reiner and martin sheen at a political convention. and my grandfather was friends with bob hope. my parents friend sat next to flavor flav on an airplane this summer. my grandpa carried merideth wilsons casket at his funeral (the man who wrote The Music Man). a kid that graduated from my high school last year is second cousins with zac efron. a pair of twins in my grade there second cousin is topanga from boy meets world. and my friends uncle was in areo speedwagon before they got famous (sorry if i slautghered the name) well thats all the celebrity connections i have but what have u guys had happen?

I went to school with Heath Ledger. I got to meet David from Simple Plan and also Scribe which was so cool. I got to meet Zac Hanson after the Hanson concert last year (I was so in love with him when I was 12 so it was so cool)
And I got to meet Hugh Jackman on the 1st of October this year after The Boy From Oz, he is such a kind man just how I thought he would be, it was a dream come true meeting him I love everything he has done, ever since I first saw him in Paperback Hero, and he is just amazing on stage and he has a great singing voice to.
That’s who I’ve met so far hope I get to see Hugh again though.

What are the chances of me having twins? My husband is a twin and I was wondering what are the chances of me having twins.

Twins run through the mothers side. It is all maternal because it has to do with the egg splitting or two eggs being released, which the man has no control over. So you have the same chance as if you married a guy that wasn’t a twin.

im a twin and im filling out my FAFSA for financial aid to go to college. Would i be better off filing independant? or should i milk the fact that im a twin and my parents would have to support two children in school at once? ive heard that you get a lot if you have a sibling in school, especially since my parents dont make much. I plan on paying off my school on my own anyway, so i hear that those who file as independant get a lot of aid also. i need as much aid as possible so please help!

Filing as an independent is not a choice you are allowed to make. You are an independent student if, and only if, you are 24 years old, a graduate student, married, a veteran, orphaned, or a few other options that are all listed on the application. Otherwise, you must provide your parents’ information, or else the application will be rejected as incomplete.
