How does child support work when the paying parent is over seas?
The father of my twins will be going over to Haiti very soon for military duty. How does the child support system still work if he is over seas?
It is the same. Military will pay him the same and either he needs to somehow get you the money (or is it taken from his check now?). He can set up automatic payments to one of your accounts before he leaves or have someone write checks for him.
You can ask for it to go through the state and they will take it from his check and give it to you.

if he is in the military it should be the same, that should not have anything to do with it. he is still being paid by uncle sam.

Child support enforcement will simply file a claim with the military. But, to your benefit, it makes it muchh easier for you to deny him access.

He will still need to pay, but he will likely have someone appointed to handle his financial obligations why he is gone, like a relative etc. Why not ask him what his plans are to ensure payments are still made on time?

The military pays him and will just take it out like taxes. Don’t worry you will still get your money.
