It might be possible but why would you want to do that? That’s horrible and selfish.

only if one of them is risking the mothers life
my friend had twins and one of them was still born

Yes, though it would risk the life of the other one. Can you imagine telling a child that someday? "Yes sweetie, we love you so much and it’s so lucky for you that you weren’t the one in reach of the abortionist because we killed the spare." Lovely.

thats just horrible. i can’t believe anyone would wanna abort one of them.
god gave you the hands your meant to deal.
how would you go up to your child and say "yes, you were a twin, as you can see in mommy’s ultrasounds, but we decided we couldn’t deal with 2, so we choose one to send to heaven"
wtf that sounds so wrong. i understand your curious, but this brings up a lot of sore subjects.

Yes, its called Multifetal Pregnancy Reduction.
-Couples who are expecting three or more babies may wish, or be advised, to consider reducing the number of viable fetuses to two. The reduction procedure is usually performed between the 10th and 12th weeks of pregnancy by injecting one or more of the fetuses. Fetal reduction increases the chance of a mother having one or two healthy babies instead of a miscarriage or very premature delivery of three or more babies who are much more likely to die or to suffer from long-term disability.
When you have quadruplets only 70% make it, by ending one or more of the pregnancies you have a higher chance of healthy babies.

I know a friend who was expecting twins and she found out that one of them had down syndrome. She chose to abort the baby with down syndrome. Later on when she was around 6 months she lost the other baby. A really terrible thing to happen. If I was put in thee same position I would have not aborted the twin. its the risk she took.

My friend was pregnant with twins and had a miscarriage. Only on of the twins was lost, so I think it would be possible. but telling the one child would be hard.
It is hard for my friend’s daughter to know she had a brother and he died naturally. I think it would be harder to know that the mother/father killed the baby.
