I mean in regards to the 1 child policy? Is there any pressure on parents to give up one baby? Do the government make things difficult for parents of twins because they have 2 children?

China is not exactly the repressive regime people think it is.

The one Child policy until recent years was only ever implemented in major cities. Recently it has come into effect in rural areas (and yes, some government people act in horrible ways, but not with the direct approval of the central government. IE, some places have forced abortions at 8 months to keep their reporting statistics down. But that is not central government policy).

Chinese are not exactly stupid. They realise that people will have twins, and I have met many twins in China (I am surprise more Chinese people don’t use assisted reproductive technologies to give themselves twins and triplets).

There is no policy of selective abortions, they don’t give the child away or eat their babies.

The main punitive feature related to multiple children is that the second and third etc is taxed. That is it.

Currently in country areas, if the first child is a girl, the family can have a second child.

If you work on the Grand Canal you can have as many children as you want.

If you are rich you just pay the tax.

The deal is my father pays my mother child support for my brother (my twin) and I. We are 18 turning 19, and the order started when we were 17 and expires when we turn 21. My mother receives weekly support for my brother and I. He isn’t in school right now but I am.

The order says my dad pays a weekly amount to my mother for my brother and I and that they are responsible to pay my college tuition and all out of pocket expenses. It is written in the order that my dad pays a certain percentage of my tuition and all my expenses and my mom just pays her percentage of my tuition.

Now my father does things to spite my mother and vice versa. And in the balance is my education. Things are getting paid late and I don’t know whom to turn to.

Is it possible I can take my parents to court to receive the money directly?

My expenses are my tuition (56k) and apartment my apartment’s rent (1k a month)
Now before you get inconsiderate calling me a brat and telling me to take out a loan. I cannot get enough loans to cover my tuition with a co signer (mother or father) and they wont consign because they said that they could afford to pay it.

We are very rich and can pay. Its just that they hatred for one another makes everything go askew, its either one of their ways or the highways. And I don’t want to side with my parents, I just want to do what’s best for me.

You have to go to your father and tell him that his animosity toward your mother is making you worry about your education, tell him you want him to pay on time because you don’t need him putting you in the middle of their argument.
That’s the wrong thing to do, even if he is angry at her, hes taking it out on you. Hes so wrong here, its not even funny.
But you can’t get him to pay you directly, but maybe you could ask him to pay his share of your college funds directly to the college, that way he won’t have to pay it to your mother.
If hes already doing that then he is being spitefull to you, and that’s just wrong. Your mother can take him to court for you, but thats apt to result in more anger and revenge.

yes of course I would want him to go. My twins have been in separate classes at school since kindergarten and they are both their own people they don’t do everything together. They almost went to different high schools but then both ended up deciding on the same one.

Now if you are talking about some special school where you want them both to go but they only have one spot and they would both be eligible for the scholoarship and I had to choose which one would go, then that would be different and I don’t think I could make a decision as to which would get to go over the other.

I used a cheat originally meant for Sims 2 that forced your sim to have twins, but it didn’t work on Sims 3. How do I make her have twins?! please help (: thank you.

It’s been a while since I’ve played, but I seem to remember a lifetime reward you can buy — "Increased Fertility" or something like that.

Poke around that section and buy it for both parents. After doing that, you’re pretty much guaranteed twins or trips every time. If you want it to be more random (sometimes twins / trips, sometimes single birth) only buy it for Mom and not Dad or vice versa.

in my dads side theres been 5 sets of twins..his cousins have had 2 sets of identical twins(not hereditary)and 2 sets of fraternal twins(hereditary) and my sister just had a set of fraternal twins..i just want to know if i have a possibility..what percentage would i have..the genetics doctor told my sister she has 25% of having another set of twins..you think i would have a possibilty..i have not had babies im 18 im just curious?

I’m no geneticist, but of the cousins that had two sets of fraternal twins, was it the woman who is related to your dad? If so, are they related by blood or by marriage? A woman related by blood to you would probably mean that you have pretty good chances of having fraternal twins yourself.

Prologue

Nurse Jane walked into the hospital room to check on the twin brother and sister who had just been born. Jane was used to caring for twins, but what the doctor hadn’t told her was that the parents of the twins were teenagers, no older than 18. Jane felt sorry for the couple, they had no one there supporting them, no friends or parents. But there was something different about these parents, Jane couldn’t quite put her finger on it, she just knew they were special.
“How are you doing?” Jane asked the man. She looked at the thin file the doctor had given her. The man’s name was Zepp Chain and the woman was named Airan Gloss.
“We’re doing fine,” Zepp said, smiling down at the mother, who lay in the hospital bed, the blue covers draped around her thin body. Zepp had the girl cradled in his strong arms and Airan held the boy. The boy had thick, dark brown hair and eyes, just like his father, Jane noted. The girl had little hair on her head, but it was definitely blond, unlike her mother who was a redhead. As Jane looked closely at the baby girl, she noticed she had mesmerizing purple eyes, which were mirror images of her mother‘s eyes.
“May I see him?” Jane asked. Airan handed her his son and she cradled him in her arms. She began making faces and talking in a high pitched voice, making her self look like a fool. The baby put his small arms in the air and yawned. Jane noticed a black mark on the underside of the boy’s wrist. It was much like a tattoo and was in the shape of a sun, the rays curling off the perfect circle. What an unusual birthmark, Jane thought.
Crash! Jane whipped around, startled. Shards of glass rained onto the ground from the broken window, a man had jumped in. He wore all black, and he closely resembled Zepp. He wore gloves and held a javelin in his hands. Jane tried to run out of the room, but the man threw his javelin and volts of electricity shot through her body and she fell to the ground almost immediately, barely alive. The baby boy fell to the ground, completely unphased. Larken reached over and picked up the boy.
“Larken!” Zepp hissed.
“How are we today, little brother?” Larken said, picking up his javelin and pointing it at Airan. He pulled his arm back and threw the javelin. There was no need to aim, the weapon always hit it’s mark. It was a gift from Phaeton, his leader. Zepp ran over to Airan and softly stroked her face. She wasn’t dead yet, she could still live.
“Why are you here?” Zepp asked, tears rolling down his cheeks, which had been cut with glass from the broken window.
“Phaeton’s orders. You know how the Shining One hates it when we disobey him,” Larken said coldly. Larken moved forward and punched Zepp in the face. Zepp staggered backwards and fell into a chair, the girl still in his arms. He quickly got up and ran to the window. Zepp threw his baby girl out the window, it was the only chance she had of survival, if Larken got a hold of her, he would kill her instantly. Zepp knew the girl would live, her instincts would surely kick in.
Larken ran over to Zepp, fury etched on his face. Zepp tried desperately to get up and run, to save his son. But Larken, always having been stronger, pinned Zepp to the ground. Larken’s fists curled into a ball and he punched Zepp in the face. Zepp screamed in pain and tried to fight back, but Larken won out. He grabbed the baby, who was wailing as loudly as possible.
“Give him back!” Zepp managed to get out through his mangled jaw, the bones crushed from the impact of Larken’s fist. Hundreds of years of training had gotten Larken very strong.
Zepp jumped up and kicked Larken in the stomach. But Larken hadn’t felt anything, it was like a Zepp‘s fist had the power of a house fly. Zepp hadn’t trained in years, and had lost a lot of the strength he had had when he was younger.
“Ha! You think you can overpower me!” Larken sneered. “I will always be better than you, little brother!”
Larken then kicked Zepp in the head twice, knocking him unconscious. The baby continued to wail, as if it knew it had lost the only people in the world who would ever love him.
Larken picked up Zepp’s body and slumped him over his shoulder. Larken carefully held the baby in his arms, if anything happened to him Phaeton would surely kill him. Larken jumped back out the window and jumped into the open air outside. The sky seemed to open up, then sucked Larken into it.

The baby girl plunged down the twelve stories to the ground, but at the last moment transformed. She was a blue jay, flying high into the sky. Her wings were spread wide, a light blue with white tips. Snow fell all around her, cold on her feathers. She joyfully flew all around town, but finally got tired and landed softly on the ground below. And then she was a girl again, and had forgotten everything

Hi! I think I read this yesterday……. anyways, yes, it’s a cool idea/story. It sorta sounds like jumper, but not exactly. I warn you: there are lots of ideas close to this, so you’ll have to make this pretty unique if you want it published. Maybe morph one of your other ideas into this story to make it more interesting, or make the story in the 1860’s during the civil war, and the girl enters the army for the confederates or something. That idea is a little out there, but just to get you thinking.

I think I may be having twins, this stems from my original question and I would just like to know if anyone has had hidden twins recently, that were not caught until delivery. I would just like sombody elses opinions, and if you have had hidden twins, what was your pregnancy like. Thanks

Samantha, that’s not what she was asking. What she meant (I think) is was there anyone who didn’t know they were having twins until delivery. A second baby that wasn’t found on ultrasound.

I am pregnant and wondering if it’s twins as well. The doctor thinks there is a chance and I go next week for another ultrasound to see if they can find a second one. I wouldn’t be surprised, it’s just a feeling.

I don’t know anyone personally that this has happened to but I’ve heard stories….You just never know.

A man wandered up the street, as he was buying a soda from the machine, he noticed the baby laying on the sidewalk. She was wrapped in a pink blanket and had dark purple eyes. Puzzled, he went over and picked the baby up. There was no one else around, it was three in the morning, after all. The man figured the baby had been abandoned and left to die.
The man, called Frank, new of an orphanage in the center of town. He took the girl there, hoping her life would be safe from then on. But, unfortunately, life will never be safe for a Shifter.

When you are expecting a new addition to the family, there is a lot to consider when creating the nursery. Designing it can be enjoyable if you can keep yourself from getting stressed. It is the perfect place to direct all that anticipation you have while waiting for your baby to be born.

One of the first considerations is whether to wallpaper or not to wallpaper. There are many really cute designs available. But painting is a lot easier to do and easier to change later on down the line. If you want to add some flair, you can stencil in a border. Put up paintings or some wall hangings and you are done.

The next thing you should think about is the floor. Wood floors are gorgeous but they can be cold. Little ones can fall down and get hurt easier than with carpeting also. The nursery is one room where it is probably best to have thick wall-to-wall carpeting installed. You will want to find one that cleans easily, as it is sure to get dirty.

After the flooring and walls are set, you need to think about the type of furniture that will look best in the room. Baby furniture is often white but black baby furniture makes a nice choice as well. It will match with anything, it can be used for either sex and it will be easier to clean.

A convertible crib is really convenient piece of furniture to purchase. It can be changed as your baby grows and his or her needs change as well. When your child gets old enough, it can easily be turned into a bed.

It is a smart idea to get all the bedroom furniture you need at once. Other pieces might include a dresser and perhaps a desk with a chair. Although it will be a while, eventually your child will need a desk. Buying everything at once ensures that you they all match. You can complete the set with a bookcase, night table and toy chest.

If you live in a home that is older and becomes drafty, you may want home space heaters. You probably will not want to keep it on all the time. But you can get the room warmed up for baby before bedtime.

Go to a home improvement store this weekend and spend a little time there. You are sure to get many ideas by walking down the aisles. Start thinking about it early so you can really enjoy the entire process of preparing a new home for your baby.
