If you were the parent of twins and you were given the oportunity send one to the best school in the country.?
On a scholarship but it meant seperatig them even though it guarenteed them a brighter future- would you? Why?
yes of course I would want him to go. My twins have been in separate classes at school since kindergarten and they are both their own people they don’t do everything together. They almost went to different high schools but then both ended up deciding on the same one.
Now if you are talking about some special school where you want them both to go but they only have one spot and they would both be eligible for the scholoarship and I had to choose which one would go, then that would be different and I don’t think I could make a decision as to which would get to go over the other.

I am the parent of twins and yes I would.
Just because they came into the world together does not mean they need to spend all of their time in it together
In fact we are trying to separate them in school because one depends way to much on the other

what do they want? would one of them want to go there? do they want to be seperated? I mean at some point their opinion matters so ask them as for me I couldn’t tell you what I would do in that situation. I can’t see giving one child a chance at everything and giving anoher child a smaller chance of not much. It’s really not fair and how do you go about choosing which child would get to go?

I’d have to ask my twins. Sometimes the kids are perfectly fine with separating (after all, they ARE individuals). Other kids may feel very lost to not have their twin nearby or in the same area.
The bigger question – how would you choose which one? (Unless that was already decided for you)

If the child wanted it and could put it to good use, I’d accept it. Just because they’re twins doesn’t mean they have the same abilities, interests, or personalities. They should each be treated as individuals. If they were siblings but not twins, you probably wouldn’t think twice about it.

They are individual people. This is, of course, assuming this is what the one wanted in life. I’d never force my kid to go do something if that’s not what he wanted.

Well me and my twin sister have now been split up, i go to college in the next town while she goes tot he sixthform down the road. i dont think its a abd thing to split twins up coz for me and my sister we’ve been able to grow more independant from beign apart and we dont argue as much as we did when we were in secondary school. i think it does do some good coz we’re not in each others pockets all the time if you get what i mean. but to be balntly honest i did find it hard at first without her being there but ive moved past that now coz i see her all the time at home after college has finnished and see her at weekends aways.
but if that is what one twin wishes to do let them. they cant be together forever, coz they, like me and my sister argue all the time and get on each others nerves more. i think twins should be able to gain indepencae and not have to reply on each other all the time. coz when you’re older, you’re not gonna like have the same job, same husband/wife ect, thats just wrong you have to learn to be independant.
well im glad that ive gone to the college in the next town coz i feel lie i have more indepnce anways like ive said before, and i laso like not being know as one of "the twins" coz thats what the teachers used to call us and hafl the time i felt like i had no identitiy outside of being one of "the twins"
