My wonderful husband and I are still technically newlyweds, but I feel as though that amazing aspect of our lives is being somewhat overshadowed by an even more amazing aspect of our lives- we’re about to become parents, of twins! We were so excited when we found out that we conceived on our honeymoon four months ago. However, with all this added excitement comes a lot of added stress in the preparation for the arrival of our little ones. While I’m at home "taking it easy" under the request of our OB/GYN, my poor hubby is working an additional ten hours a week to make ends meet without deplenishing our savings. To show my appreciation for all his support and attentiveness to all my needs I want to surprise him with a romantic evening for just the two of us.
Here is what I have planned so far…

Candles… for ambience.
Aromatherapy Wax… because he absolutely loves the smell.
Music – Smooth Jazz mixed with Old School Ballads… to set the mood.
Dinner – Seafood Stuffing and Baked Chicken Breasts… two of his favorites.
A Gift – True Blood Season Two… he was ecstatic when I purchased Season One for his birthday.
?? What else can I do for my honey bun??
I’m on a budget, but hubby loves to be pampered. Maybe I can find some inexpensive ways to make it a spa night. I have a footbath I could pick up from my mom’s house and give him a relaxing foot massage. I think I may have seen a parrafin tub at Wal*Mart for like fifteen bucks. I could give him a manicure. I could also look online for a few of those “how-to” videos for at-home facials.
I know this may seem like a lot, but I can’t begin to explain how imaginative my sweetheart can be when it comes to the things he’ll do to put a smile on my face. I just want to show him I care.

wow i really need to applaud you for your efforts to make your man happy. Sounds like you two are on the right path. Anyway i think what you have already planned is great. Remember you said he works extra hours which means when he comes from home he will be tired. You do not want to drown him with a lot of stuff. You do not want him falling asleep during the manicure or anything right. The treat you have prepared is amazing and i am certain he will be thrilled
