What are the chances of having male and female twins?
I was curious as to if I were to get pregnant with my partner, what would be the chances of having one male and one female, twins? Neither of us have twins, triplets etc in the family. Would it be almost very unlikely to have twins then?
Naturally conceived fraternal twins tend to run in families because women who have fraternal twins release more than one egg per cycle, and this trait is an inherited trait.
I have fraternal triplets who are all boys which is rarer than mixed gender. For multiple pregnancies the chances of having the same gender is pegged at 12% while the chances of having mixed gender hovers at 33%.

Its not unlikely, but there’s more of a chance of twins if it runs in the family (both sides)
only way to guarantee twins is IVF which still isn’t 100% and its very expensive.
Im not sure, but non identical twins are more common then identical ones i think?
Identical twins will be the same gender, As non identical ones have a chance at being different genders aswell as the same. Just don’t get your hopes up, its pretty hard to have twins without gentic help ect..
