My boyfriend wants to buy two separate travel systems for each baby because he wants them each to have their own separate stroller(he hates the twin ones). He also wants it that way because one is a girl, one is a boy & he doesn’t like any of the colors the twin strollers come in because he wants people to know one’s his little boy & the other is his little girl.
I told him that instead of spending so much money on travel systems,we could buy two single car seats in whatever color he wants. He then asked me about a stroller. I told him that 99.9% of stores have carts & until the babies are able to ride in the stroller itself we could just use those to put them in. He hated that idea too.
I know how he is,he won’t look at the price,he’ll look at the pattern & design then buy. I know he’ll spend $500 easy. Does anybody have any other suggestions on what to do(besides letting him spend)?
This is my guess as to what’s going on.
Dad hasn’t had any say in anything regarding the kids. So now he’s dug his heels into something irrational and is clinging to it to the death because it’s the only thing he has to cling to.
So the question is, if one parent is taking both children out, how are they supposed to be pushed? Is he willing to wear one child while pushing the other?
If you want him to give on this, you’ll have to give him another decision to have control over. Pick one that you’ve argued over and have gotten your way on, if you really want to give him the idea that his opinions are valid. Just a suggestion from a guy who has been backed into a corner more than once and has defended a stupid idea to the death, even if I know it’s stupid. Pride.

i would like to have both a boy and girl at the same time twins is it possible through Invitro fertilization?
Sort of.
You have to do PGD then have a boy and girl embryo put back into you. PGD is used to scan for genetic disorders. The remove a cell from the embryo right after fertilization (safe for the embryo) and dna test it. Through the dna test, they know if it’s a boy or girl. PGD runs about $2500 to $3000.
But nature might have other ideas. One might implant giving you only a single child or you might have a vanishing twin.

So I found out last week that my girlfriend is pregnant. She is 15 weeks and is pregnant with twins. Last night we went to the ER because she was having terrible cramps and was bleeding. Everything turned out to be perfect. Both babies are doing good and she is doing better with taking care of herself. Now that everything is going good for her, it seems like everything is going wrong with me. Ever since I found out we are pregnant with twins it seems like rock bottom hit. I am so nervous about having TWO babies! I know it is hard raising one baby but now two babies. I told my mother yesterday when both her and I went over for dinner and she was so happy. I then called her this morning and she was even more happy. She then started telling me… "oh, you better start saving money" "take labor classes" "this is going to cost alot" "are you sure the babies are yours?" I mean what kind of mother is suddenly not happy after finding out the baby is actually twins?! She is making me feel even worse. I can’t stop thinking about how I am going to cope with two babies, a girlfriend, debt, and maybe even 2 jobs. I know how my girlfriend feels and I am 100% in the picture but I think I am getting cold feet about this. Can someone help me and give me some reasurance?
Sorry. I meant to say… " I then called her this morning and she was in shock".
Firstly, Congratulations, you’re obviously a stand up guy and your girlfriends a lucky girl! Secondly, ignore your mother, she’s opening her mouth without really thinking first, she means well but probably doesn’t realise she’s scaring you.
Everyone gets a little overwhelmed when they first know they’re gonna be a parent, it’s a big life change. I’m on baby number 3 and it’s still a little scary lol. But from experience I do know that you’ve gotta chillout a little. I’ve raised my kids on a budget, we’re a low income family and kids don’t need the best of everything, that’s just what you want to give them. What kids need more then anything is love and I think you’ve got plenty of that.
Yes, it’s gonna be hard work having 2 babies at once, the trick is to get them into a routine as soon as possible. My children are 17 months apart and I’ve always said it would’ve been easier having twins because at least they would’ve needed the same things at the same time, instead of having a new born baby and a toddler running round

My dads a twin and im his eldest child, i was wondering whats the possibility of me having twins?
Is he an Identical twin? If he is then you have the same chances as everyone else in the world. If he is a fraternal twin then you may have an increased possibility of having fraternal twins. Also if you are older that would increase your chances of fraternal twins
Also, fraternal twins don’t just run in the woman, it’s just they are the only ones that have the increase risk, as a man can pass that to his daughter.

What are the chances of me having twins? My husband is a twin and I was wondering what are the chances of me having twins.
Twins run through the mothers side. It is all maternal because it has to do with the egg splitting or two eggs being released, which the man has no control over. So you have the same chance as if you married a guy that wasn’t a twin.

I am trying to concieve. I was wondering if there is anything I can do or take to have a high chance of having twins?
To those who have already responded!!!
-First of all, I wouldn’t be trying to have a baby if I couldn’ afford it [I already have a 2 yr. old and 11 yr. old], I know how much diapers, etc cost BUT THANKS
-2ND, I don’t want twins for attention, I want them to have eachother to play and grow with, nothing to do with my wants!
-I do pray for a happy, healthy baby, but what is wrong with wanting multiples???!!!
i just looked this up.
~get a lot of folic acid. you can take vitamins for that or eat foods rich in that. i read that women who get pregnant with twins had more folic acid in their system.
~eat yams. im not sure why but they said that somewhere in africa there are one in twenty births are twins, they said they eat a lot of yams there.
~gain weight. over weight women have a higher change of twins.
~the older you are when you get pregnant the higher your chances.
they said that none of these things will guarantee twins but its worth a try.

I’m having twins, and I was wondering what you think is a necessity or a waste of money when it came to your babies? I’m looking for suggestions, ideas, or opinions. Please no rude answers, thanks.
Waste of $…wipe warmers, changing tables, boppy pillow and bottle warmers for the car…Worth the $, baby swing, basinett that converts to a playpen later, highchair, bumbo seat and bottle brush

Whats the likeliness of this? Do you think you have to have twins on both sides to have twins? Or is one side enough even if that wasnt that common either? Didnt they say it always skips a generation or two? I dont know.
1 in 300 but my best fiend got pregnant with twins, and twins DONT run on either side-good luck

I am an identical twin my aunt and nan I know they run strong on my side of the family.. Do I have a increased chance of having twins?
I am the only identical twin in my family the rest are not.
If you have any fraternal twins from like your mom, grandmother, aunts, cousins [females only] then yes you do have an icnreased chance of having twins. But identical twins are seen as a freak of nature and are not genetic.
