** Chapter 4 **
Jo stared at the TV boredly, Jen had just finished performing. If she had been allowed to go, she would be on in ten minutes and she and Jen would be jumping around excitedly behind the curtain. But she was grounded.
Suddenly she had an idea, a plan began to form in her mind…and she knew exactly how to make it happen.
JAMES!!! she yelled to the butler. Smiling to herself, she switched off the TV.
JAMES, MOVE IT!!!
Meanwhile, Jen was having a ball. For the last few minutes, people kept coming up to her and congratulating her for her performance. Becs ran over, OMJ! You were so awesome! My God girl, I forgot you could move!
Jen grinned, Thanks. Jen was never vein but she was always honest, and she knew she had talent, why should she try to deny it? Besides, the people would just say she was looking for attention and she wasnt. Honestly, she hated being in the limelight, she just wanted to fit in.
You know, I heard Nick say he really badly wanted to meet you, gossiped Becs.
Jen didnt believe it, she didnt deal in rumours, and she didnt get involved in the gossip, so she smiled sweetly and shrugged and simply said, Maybe.
Becs grabbed her arm, Youll love those Jonas boys, they are such a hoot! And Joe was giving me the eyes earlier, if you know what I mean! Becs led her over to the other side of the hall, past Harry and Vanessa who were too busy making out to even notice if a bomb went off, and those grunting sounds were very unappealing! But God knows, their picture would probably be on the front page of every newspaper and magazine for the next week. Never mind.
Then Jen caught sight of Nick Jonas. And Joe Jonas. And Kevin Jonas. And their parents. They were standing in a corner, talking and laughing with each other.
AHH!!! screamed both the girls in usion, which of course attracted just about the whole concert halls attention.
The boys looked over and grinned.
Becs, and hey, arent you Jenette Greene?
Jen nodded and was about to start talking when she realised that her voice had completely failed her so she just squeaked in agreement instead.
Cool, awesome, great, Joe said, nodding.
Nick flashed her a blinding smile.
Becs giggled and put her hand on Joes arm.
Just then Harry walked up, Vanessa in tow.
Joe! Whats up man? Great to see ya again!
Harry! Joe and Harry did this weird hand thing in the usual guy greeting kind of thing.
Becs giggled again.
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, PLEASE TONIGHTS UNEXPECTED GUEST, WE DIDNT THINK SHE WAS HERE! SHE MUST BE FEELING BETTER! the mc announced.
Jen turned around and gasped, Oh no! She didnt!
Harrys facial expression reflected exactly what Jen was feeling.
Harry looked at the stage…and there she was, Oh , he muttered.
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, the mc continued, PLEASE WELCOME…JOANNA GREENE!
Natasha and John Greene thundered over to Jen, Did you know anything about this? demanded Natasha.
N-No, stuttered Jen.
Youd better tell us right now young lady! shouted John.
Ouch, young lady, muttered Harry.
Harry, how come you didnt tell us? they screamed, turning on him instead.
COZ I DIDNT FRIGGING KNOW! Harry screamed back.
Jen registered the looks on Harry and her parents faces.
Then more to herself than to anyone else, she muttered, Shes toast.
